The safety and health of Jarrett's clientele is his number one priority. Operating privately, and only with disposable tubes, allows him to keep the studio in Grade A condition at all times. Ensuring that not only Jarrett's artwork is top notch, but that the environment itself is held to the same if not higher standard.
The Rules
Jarrett works by appointment only. He does not accept walk-ins or tattoo anyone under the age of 18. NO EXCEPTIONS. Client must have a government I.D. Also NO tattoos for anyone under the influence of drugs/alcohol, or who is pregnant/breastfeeding. No psychotherapy, just heavy shading – so good vibes only. Spearheaded by tattooer/board sportsman/heavy metal enthusiast Jarrett DeMartino, Solid Gallery One is a tattoo studio moonlighting as an art gallery. The shop’s mission is to fuse contemporary art and tattooing—to encourage the appreciation and influence of both art forms. Tattoos at the studio can be scheduled by appointment, but walk-ins are welcome too. The art gallery is appointment only.
Thank you, Jarrett! Vivid, flawless, and well done are only a few words that have been used to describe my memorial tattoo done in honor of my dad. I had never gotten a tattoo before, so I didn't quite know what to do or where to start. I met Jarrett at a tattoo fest where I was in search of someone to replicate a piece of my father's own artistic work. The replica is flawless and has phenomenal detail. He even took the time to consult with me and had taken so much of his own time to make sure I was going to get the best piece possible before we even started. Aside from his artistic talent, Jarrett pays extreme attention to cleanliness, and hygienic practices. Lastly, his studio gives a sense of safety and intimacy. I will definitely be traveling up from South OC, to LA to see him again.
P.S. His silent tattoo guns are good for the psyche!!
I came in for my second tat, with my first one just being a small one on my ribs. I was a bit anxious considering this one would be medium sized on my back and I was just a bit worried how everything would turn out.
I researched and found this shop via a Time Out Magazine review. I contacted Jarrett and began a dialogue with him about what I wanted and placement and meaning, etc.
I would say to anyone in my position: You're in good hands with this artist. He is a hard working professional who goes out of his way to make his clients feel comfortable. He has a light touch so my worries about pain were unnecessary. He added input to my idea and I came out with a design that incorporated his ideas. Also, he's just a cool dude so it's good to work with people that you like
Came here for my first tattoo after much research and, could not have picked a better artist. Jarrett does amazing work and, as soon as I decide on my next design I will be heading back to his studio.
